The Creator of this universe has enunciated that knowledge is the reason for nobility and dignity of humankind. It is the knowledge that embellishes this world, and it is through reason and intellect that human beings are able to recognize their Creator and to be Allah’s representative in this world.
Allah Almighty has blessed those who lit the candle of knowledge and transfer its light from one generation to another. Khanqah-e-Naqshbandiya Mujaddiya Baghar Sharif has been serving in the field of education and spreading knowledge for over two centuries. In the year 2000, I was blessed, with the grace of Allah Almighty, to establish a higher secondary school for boys in Baghar Sharif which boasts of a modern syllabus, an exceptional combination of worldly and religious education. Similarly, in the year 2017, I also founded an institution for girls’ education. By the grace of Allah Almighty, both these institutions are imparting education with success and excellence.
Although every field of education is necessary for evolution of humankind, law and legal studies are the branches of knowledge that determine the standards for life and living, political system, social set up, economic matters and justice in a society. Since the creation of Adam (AS), human beings have been living their lives under one or another set of laws or legal system, whether man made or as directed by the Allah Almighty. The Code of Hammurabi, regarded as one of the earliest legal codes, was proclaimed in 1750 B.C. Through Quran and Sunnah, Allah Almighty has blessed us with universal legal codes that are to last forever.
It is for this utmost importance of the field of law that we have decided to establish a law college in Kahuta to impart legal education. Constructions for college campus were started in the year 2017. I appointed my son Sahibzada Uzair Hashim Advocate to supervise and oversee the realization of this dream. It is due to his and his team’s hard work that a purpose-built state of the art campus has been established and it is a treat to watch.
The College is affiliated with University of the Punjab. Besides the LLB syllabus and courses, lectures series are held on important contemporary matters of law and jurisprudence. I foresee that in the near future, the College, with the will of Allah Almighty, shall add to the prestige and esteem of University of the Punjab. The college faculty consists of top educationalists, law professionals, ex-judges and scholars. The College offers a unique and exceptional opportunity to the boys and girls who are interested in the field of law and legal education. I hope that the students from all around will come to the shores of this fountain to quench their thirst for knowledge.
